Fireworks Display

The Annual Independence Day Fireworks Display is back! The display will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 (the rain date is Saturday, July 5, 2025) at Bishop Miege High School (5041 Reinhardt Dr., Roeland Park, KS). The Fireworks will begin approximately at 9:45 p.m. or dusk. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Attendees are encouraged to walk to this event, as parking spaces are limited. The display is sponsored by the cities of Westwood Hills, Fairway, Mission Woods, Roeland Park & Westwood.

🚻 For your convenience, portable restrooms will be available in both the St. Agnes and Bishop Miege parking lots.

🗑️ GFL Environmental is also donating trash receptacles and trash pickup services for the event. Please help us keep the venue clean and free of trash.

🅿️ General parking will be available around the venue, but please note that no-parking signs will be posted on various streets, and any violations may result in towed vehicles. The Illustration below shows road closure locations and where parking will be restricted.

General parking, along with designated handicapped parking, will be available at Bishop Miege on a first-come, first-served basis. The Bishop Miege parking lot will be closed once all parking spots are filled. 

♿ ADA Parking

There will be an accessible parking area in the southwest corner of the St. Agnes Church parking lot, as shown on the map below.

Only those with proper accessible tags and/or placards will be allowed to park in this area.

Once the parking area is full, the lot will be closed.
